  • Support Operation & Maintenance Services to buy with respect of quality, to time, costs and services required level.
  • Lead a team of 3 or 4 buyers
  • Reports to the European Procurement Director


Specific responsibilities:

Under the overall guide lines of the Operational Manager and Procurement Officer – Europe, will cover following aspects:

  • Support internal customers to identify their needs
  • Analyze terms of reference with internal customers
  • Manage call for tenders and the global procurement process for allocated technical categories

·        Complete purchase requests with suppliers by making purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions

  • Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications
  • Identify best available products on the market
  • Benchmark best practices
  • Audit industrial capabilities of potential suppliers
  • Analyze received tenders and negotiate with suppliers
  • Draw up contracts and set up relevant kpi’s
  • Follow commitments, accomplishments and key suppliers performance during evaluation sessions (quality, delay, costs, service)
  • Improve procurement processes ( analyze, definition and follow up )
  • Realize punctual commercial audits from suppliers
  • Optimize acquisition costs in line with procurement policies
  • Prepare and manage orders and other relevant documents in accordance with company guidelines
  • Give feed-back to stakeholders to anticipate and get problems solved
  • Undergo necessary trainings to develop « best in class » buyer skills
  • Develop partnering with key suppliers
  • Assess, evaluate and classify suppliers

About the profile:

  • Master degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5 to 7 years in a similar technical/purchase job
  • Experience in the industry sector is mandatory
  • First experience in a people management role
