Field Technician Flanders - Netherlands

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB :

The job will be based in North Netherlands 

Responsabilities : 

* Customer Service

* Provide technical sales service and support to customers (internal and external). By product trials & conversions. Site stock levels and follow up by customer demands.

* Business Development. Look for opportunities to grow the business, Customers’ needs are identified and developed into sales opportunities.

* Health and Safety

  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to in line with current safe systems of work.
  • Carry out regular safety audits and raise & action appropriate SIOs (Safety
  • Improvement Opportunities)
  • Comply with all Company Health & Safety regulations and utilize associated systems and procedures.

* Commercial

Support Account Manager / Sales Manager to achieve commercial targets.

Forecasting and monitoring. All necessary reports are provided to company and customer within agreed timescales. Communicate regularly with line/functional manager on business activities and opportunities, particularly any changes in customer or market needs. 

We require :

  • Be hands on and problem solver
  • Be customer oriented and the ability to meet new people and quickly establish rapport.
  • Ability to present technical issues both in 1:1 and 1: many environments.
  • Team player; ability to effectively communicate and work together with people in a matrix environment, and ability to gain support from team members in other functions and departments.
  • Excellent communication skills, in person or through mail/reports
  • Self-starter; able to work independently and provide supervision and guidance
  • Must be willing travel with frequent nights away.

Qualifications :

  • Technical qualification preferred, but qualification by experience accepted.
  • Valid full EU driving license or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in technical support into a customer facing role, preferably in steel or refractory industry
  • Proficient in using ICT equipment and systems, particularly Microsoft office programs.
