CUSTOMER TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER

FOR OUR STRIP STEEL ACTIVITY

 

Reason of the function:

  • Ensure the interface between the customers, the Sales and the Quality & Metallurgy departments
  • Support the customers in the definition of the needed product and the ideal solution according to the final usage
  • Translate the customer’s needs in terms of product requirements, contribute to the formulation and the communication of the technical offer to the customers.

Specific Responsabilities :

In close collaboration with the Key Account Managers, the owner of the job will cover following aspects:

  • Support technically the customers in the definition and the implementation of products in order to optimize their needs and process.
  • Contribute to the definition, the follow-up and the implementation in service of trial orders in the frame of homologation process and product developments.
  • From the analysis of performances and in agreement with the customers and the Key Account Managers, contribute to the adjustment of the product specifications when needed and ensure their communication to the Quality & Metallurgy Department.
  • Ensure the handling of any technical question and follow any modification in specifications.
  • Contribute to the customer satisfaction through regular visits, the follow-up of orders and the quality of technical exchanges

Your profile :

  • Engineer in Mechanics or Material Sciences (speciality in Metallurgy) with at least 5 years of experience in Quality or Process engineering, in steel or mechanical industry.
  • Very good knowledge of English, French and German
  • Accurate in technical analysis
  • Very at ease with human relations and communication
  • At ease with financial aspects
  • Positive mindset and solution oriented
  • Long term and trusted customer relation oriented
  • Location in Belgium (La Louvière).
