Reporting to the Legal Director NLMK Europe, the Contracts & Compliance Legal Advisor is mainly responsible for providing legal advice on commercial contracts of various types and ensuring the implementation of the compliance program within NLMK European subsidiaries.


Main responsibilities

  • On compliance program implementation side:

·        Implement (including via third-party available channels) and monitor the compliance program and head-office policies through NLMK European subsidiaries, in particular with regard to RGPD, competition, anti-money laundering laws & sanctions screening, whistleblowing, anti-bribery & anti-corruption, conflict of interests, gifts and entertainment, etc. to ensure that quality standards are applied in each company; in this scope, advise on possible violations and administrate complaints

·        Provide support to the headquarters compliance team in implementing NLMK compliance procedures within NLMK European subsidiaries  and developing & implementing relevant compliance trainings & communications

·        Coordinate compliance matters with local management and serve as a local compliance liaison with headquarters;

·        Develop and facilitate training activities on compliance topics, according to the priorities defined;

·        Monitor evolution of risk analyses and conduct legal monitoring and relay legal information and advice in relation to projects and activities.

  • On commercial contract & corporate side:

·        Draft and review of standard contractual documentation (general terms and conditions, service (level) agreements, NDAs, consultancy agreements, etc.) and negotiating a wide range of tailor-made commercial contracts and other legal documents to guarantee the full legal rights of the NLMK European companies;

·        Draft, consolidate and update a model document base;

·        Collect, manage and maintain legal documentation;

·        Assist on specific corporate law matters, including corporate housekeeping.

Your profile 

  • Master in Law with economic and commercial orientation;
  • 3 to 4 years of experience as lawyer in a reputable law firm in the field of commercial law and/or compliance;
  • Full working proficiency in French and English (read, spoken and written);
  • Interpersonal skills and top-level organizational skills: autonomy, attention to detail, willingness to learn, initiative and collaboration;
