SALES MANAGER (Pharma-Biotech, Research & Academic)

Job description

  • You are responsible for the turnover and profit generated by the sales of devices and consumables to the Pharma, Biotech, Research and Academic market.
  • You develop a business strategy for this market (objectives, focus, prioritization), in collaboration with the Product (Group) Managers and the Sales & Marketing Managers.
  • You ensure the operational implementation, follow-up and feedback of actions related to the strategy by your team.
  • You coach a team of Area Sales Managers. You help them translating the strategy to concrete prospection and sales plans. You guide them in their growth and excellence. You nurture their motivation and passion.  
  • You ensure a regular reporting in the ERP/CRM system and you present your monthly forecast to the management.  
  • You collaborate closely with other Sales and Marketing Managers to encourage and develop the cross-selling of all product ranges to the Pharma, Biotech, Research and Academic market.  
  • You develop your network and your market knowledge by participating in important industry events and by visiting Key Opinion Leaders or VIP Customers.
  • You take an active role in promoting the added value of the Analis-group for this demanding market. 
  • You intervene on-site at the customer's premises in case of a complaint or a strategic matter.
  • You report directly to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. 

Description of the profile

  • You have a university-level scientific background or you have experience in the field;
  • You can demonstrate a proven track record in People Management and in Sales Management;
  • You are proficient in complex sales management;
  • Knowledge of the BeLux market is an asset;
  • You are proficient in standard IT tools (PPT, Excel, Word, ERP,…);
  • You are trilingual NL – FR – EN (first language FR or NL);
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and an excellent business sense; 
  • You have an analytical mind and you are results- and profiability-driven; 
  • You communicate effectively - both orally and writing – and you are persuasive.
